Established in 1991 by Dr. Hans Oosterbaan, Eye Country specializes in caring for all of your vision needs. We handle everything from eye exams and hard-to-fit contact lenses, to computer vision problems, specialty lenses and eye surgery. By staying current with the latest developments in eye care, prescription lenses and advances in contact lens technology our vision center can provide you with the best vision, advice and fit today and in the years to come. We take pride in building lasting relationships with our patients, which is why we take the time to get to know you, your vision requirements and your lifestyle needs. Dr. Oosterbaan believes in looking at the big picture when it comes to your eye health, so we take the time to get to know you, your eye care history and your vision needs. We don’t just stop at 20/20. If we can get you seeing better than that, we will take the time to do so. We do a lot more than “test” eyes. Whether you need a routine eye examination, or treatment for eye disease (such as glaucoma, cataracts or macular degeneration) or eye surgery (such as LASIK or cataract surgery),we will provide you with the best care, advice, options and follow up. For those conditions beyond the scope of Dr. Oosterbaan’s practice, we have two surgeons who see patients in our office. Charles Brodrick, MD and Lisa Mcintyre, MD. Dr. Brodrick is a retinal specialist/surgeon from San Antonio and Dr. Mcintyre is a corneal specialist/surgeon and performs state of the art cataract surgery as well as refractive surgery such as LASIK. Apart from our professional services provided by Dr. Hans Oosterbaan O.D, we carry many products including but not limited to, a large eyeglass selection, many brand name non-prescription sunglasses, contact lenses of all sorts and other eye related products. We have worked hard to make our optical second to none. We have opticians (spelling corrected) that have been trained to know what glasses are in style, what glasses fit you properly and will make you look good. Our opticians (spelling corrected) are trained to focus on your lifestyle and what’s best for you, not us. Less expensive glasses you will find elsewhere, but our prices, product for product, we and our patients have found, are lower than most.
