Every Day Relationships Consulting, LLC - EDR Relationship, Love and Intimacy Mentor, Therapist, Coach and Consultant. 'Relationship Connector'...Embrace, Renew, Rebuild. Let's be honest.

Most peoples idea of a good time is not sitting in a therapy office exploring our inner most thoughts and feelings with a stranger. Therapy can be a completely different experience depending on the people involved. We take love and relationships very seriously. Therefore we do not offer 'band-aide' or quick fix approaches; instead we offer sustainable, renewable tools to help our clients shift unhealthy views and/or thoughts about life, love, self, relationships and others. We invest in our clients and our successful clients are those who invest in self and their relationships by making their healing and relationship a priority. Our style of therapy involves getting to know our client and helping them use their strengths to improve their life all while keeping it real, relevant and with humor. Often client's overlook their own strengths rather identifying with their diagnosis, failings, or past. Clearly you already know that you would like to improve something in your life. Let us help you with that fight. We are here to fight for you when you can't see where to fight for yourself. EDR can help you get where you want to go! *Website under construction. ‼️‼️ ABUSE TRIGGER WARNING ‼️‼️
Emotional abuse is still abuse.

Unfortunately, it seems some are taking this post as saying that true victims should remain quiet or not seek justice, which this absolutely does NOT mean. There is a very big difference between a real victim seeking "justice" and the villain pretending to be a victim and seeking "revenge." Revenge is meant to cause great harm to another, justice is to seek a remedy to harm being inflicted upon you. The real victims want the villain to leave them alone, the villain goes out of their way to seek out the true victim to cause them harm.

Copper holds a license in loving licks, comforting looks, and under-the-blanket sleeping. He chews a mean rawhide and protects my in-house office with his well-developed territorial tendencies. Copper and I enjoy working together, helping clients, and helping ‘momma’ debrief after each day. Copper may greet you if he is ‘in the office’, ‘send support’ to comfort you if you cry, or just chew on a rawhide as he listens intently.

I utilize expressive arts, in addition to cognitive-behavioral, DBT, EFT, mindfulness and solution focused approaches to care. Formal and informal “homework” are often used to augment the counseling experience. Overall, I utilize what the client enjoys to promote breakthroughs.

As a wounded healer who has experienced violence and trauma. I understand how difficult it is to find the right therapist and to be vulnerable to a complete stranger. It is essential to me that clients are connected with the right therapist, therefore if I'm not the right fit I have a referral source to connect you to the right therapist.

This position is mostly remote - Virginia applicants ONLY PLEASE
We are looking to hire an ambitious, attention-to-detail-obsessed, virtual assistant to help manage the operations of our growing mental health therapy practice, as well as help managing on-going projects and personal/professional assistance with needs of the owner. This is a part-time with the potential to grow.

OUR MISSION: The mission of our practice is to help our clients build their inner strengths and resilience so that they can achieve living their lives in the most authentic and cohesive of ways. We strive to do this through by integrating science-based strategies+ talk therapy, both online and in-person (currently only virtually).
We value:
* Humility. Acknowledge that you know what you know, and not what you don't. It's okay not to know everything and taking the extra step to learn.
* Passion & Hunger For Learning. Not knowing is not the answer for you. You enjoy researching and providing recommendations or alternative, creative solutions.
* Smart. This encompasses emotional intelligence, knowing how to "read the room" and thinking ahead to try to figure out what might be needed or comes next.
* Teachable. You are open to learning different or new ways of doing things.
* Accountability. We all make mistakes. Owning them, being able to ask for help or fixing them is part of the accountability that we value, as is moving on and not dwelling.
* Modern. We use technology and automation to make therapy more accessible and communication more seamless. Therapist is on multiple online platforms including own practice.
If you are looking for:
* Connection with others
* A combination of direction and autonomy to get your work done
* Working with others whose mission is focused on helping people improve their quality of life

Many people see therapy as a one-sided conversation, with little opportunity for interaction or getting to experience each other as real people. I can promise you that I am as real as it gets! I want to help you achieve whatever solutions and life changes you are looking for while enjoying the process as much as possible and experiencing yourself in new ways. Simply put, I don't believe therapy has to always be a painful thing. Calling a therapist can be intimidating, but I hope you will take a moment (and maybe a deep breath) to call and see how I can help.

I love working with individuals and couples. For couples I love hearing origin stories. The moment you looked across the room and said, “This is my person.” I love hearing about the million little things that transformed a stranger into a lover and partner and the reasons you keep choosing each other every day. I am thrilled to be there to help reignite that spark and help you remember why, above every other person, you chose your partner to face the world with. In addition to working with couples, I also work with individuals who want to take a deeper look at themselves and their relationships. You can be the best version of you.

Anxiety Sucks! Anxiety helps keep us alive, but experience a panic attack & it feels more like it is trying to kill you! If you are ever faced with a hungry bear, anxiety tells us to hand over the picnic basket & run, or get ready throw down with Yogi over some sandwiches. Fortunately, we aren't spending a ton of time running from bears in Virginia, so our brains get to interpret much more minor threats as hungry bear-level danger. I will give you the tools to fight back against anxiety, and take back control. I specialize in treating anxiety related disorders with adults using Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT).

No one starts therapy from zero. Every person comes in with a set of strategies, wisdom, and cultural strengths that we use as our guide out of any particular issue. My approach is to use warmth, humor, transparent communication, and collaboration to chip away at your goals. Authenticity, boundaries and connection and common themes in my work.

I have over twenty-five years of experience. My experience not only reaches others on a professional level, but hopefully on a personal level as well. I am transparent about my battle with anxiety and feel bringing awareness to the stigma that surrounds mental health is key to the healing process. My desire has always been to help others, and to do so in a way that would allow them to experience the fullness of life.
