As the new year is just days away MCRA wants to help bring awareness that January is observed as,

SUBSTANCE USE DISORDER TREATMENT MONTH which serves to support:

• People contemplating or seeking help for their substance use
• Practitioners treating or considering treating substance use disorder
• Friends, family, and loved ones of those with substance use conditions

By raising awareness of treatment options—including medications used to treat substance use disorders—SAMHSA seeks to:

• Eliminate stigma surrounding treatment, including medications used to treat substance use disorders
• Encourage individuals on their treatment and recovery journey
• Promote best practices such as screening, intervention, and treatment of substance use disorders by health care providers

Time to rest and recharge - and be gentle with yourself. ❄️

The Day After Christmas

If today feels quieter… heavier… or just different — that’s normal.

After all the buildup, emotions can settle in unexpected ways.
You might feel tired, overwhelmed, relieved, lonely, or a mix of everything.

Today is your reminder:
• You don’t need to “bounce back”
• You don’t need to numb how you feel
• You don’t need to have it all figured out

Healthy coping looks like resting, breathing, moving your body, hydrating, checking in with someone you trust, and giving yourself grace.

The holidays don’t define your progress.
How you care for yourself after them matters just as much.

Be gentle today.
Small, healthy choices still count. 🤍
