WCA Home Assisted Living Facility The WCA Home is a not-for-profit Adult Home with an Assisted Living Program (ALP) license. Also visit our website www.wcahome.org

ALP facilities were created by New York State for people who need more care than an Adult Home, but don't need full-time skilled nursing. By staying here as they advance in age, our residents pay half the cost that a nursing home would require. The WCA Home has been in Fredonia since 1892 and has a rich history connected to the village's 19th Century roots. Overseen by the Women's Christian Association (11-member board of directors), this Victorian home has a homey feel and charm that separates us from all other adult homes. Providing quality care is what we pride ourselves in. We believe it's an honor and privilege to be chosen to take care of YOUR family member and or friend. Call 716-672-7961 for more information and tour, a free luncheon is offered with every tour.

Today is the first day of May. Traditionally, Fredonia Garden Club sneaks in while the residents are down to breakfast, and places, fresh-cut flowers in beautiful baskets on each resident's door handle. The WCA Home would like to thank the Fredonia Garden Club for doing so much for our home and residents for many years.

Since 1893, The WCA Home has had the privilege of providing a home for our community's aging population. As of this afternoon, our mission has ended. At this time all residents have been placed in other homes. This announcement is bittersweet. It is sad to be ending this mission, but we are humbled and honored to have been a small part of the 130-year legacy. We will continue to post on Facebook as we come across any interesting historical information and have memories to share as we go down memory lane!
Good luck to all of our residents and staff as they turn to the next chapter in their lives!

I am typing this with tears running down my face.I have been employee for 17 years and to no ones fault we now have to say good bye to everyone that i call family.I have been through alot from my mom dad and Nana passing away in a short time of each other and if it wasn't for the people at the WCA Home i don't know what i would have done. From my sons lungs almost shutting down and Tammy stepping in and trying to cook😜.To all the residents that have become our grandparents and family members that have become friends🥹It is going to be hard starting over but i was told when one door closes another will open.so i am not saying good bye but i will see you later...🥰Thanks for all the memories - From Joann Smith, head cook

Thank you to the Pillar of Fire Church for bringing some wonderful Christmas cheer to our residents tonight! We love caroling especially when we can have cookies and hot cocoa too. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of George Tadt. George holds a very special place in WCA Home history as our very first male resident! We truly loved getting to know him and his family while he lived with us. George made an impact in our community and left behind a wonderful legacy of kindness and generosity through his family. We all miss you "King George"! Thank you for breaking the 120 year gender tradition at The WCA Home!
