We had a rare treat in the Illinois and Metro St. Louis area…the Northern Lights were viable if you looked outside and didn’t have a lot of street lights around you.

We didn’t have to go to Norway or Alaska to see them…we just had to go outside and look up!

Today we honored our Veterans and their families. It was an emotional afternoon as we thanked them for their service, their sacrifices and everything they have done to protect our freedom.

From enduring time away from family to the people who kept everything going at home, we THANK YOU for everything. We will honor your legacy with our voices and our hearts.

Happy Monday! Our Residents had a great Monday. They started their day watching it snow and then despite it being so chilly they enjoyed the sunshine, some hot food and a fun day filled with some Bingo! Rita even brought her lucky little babies Buffy and Lucky!

A big thank you to Paul Gibbs for coming out and singing at Happy Hour today. He sang lots of classics and the Residents enjoyed singing along!

This week we took part in our Wellness Wednesday. Not only do we make sure we are doing monthly vitals and weights, but we add an educational component to discuss topics like managing diabetes and ways to take better care of ourselves.

Our Residents are so amazing at participating and it is always a time to get together, have a snack and allows our Residents to take part in their wellness journey.

Who doesn’t love a little pampering to make you feel good? Every week we have our little nail salon time . Even if Residents don’t want color on their nails we put cuticle oil on them, we have files to shape and smooth out rough edges. Bonus…socialize with your friends time and just chit chat. We love it!
