Most massage therapists give a “good” massage.
Clients relax.
They enjoy it.
They say thank you.
But they don’t always come back.
And they don’t always tell their friends.
Because what makes a massage unforgettable
is not technique.
it’s definitely not how many things you do.
It’s:
🌿 Presence
Being fully with the body in front of you
Not thinking three moves ahead
🌿 Listening with your hands
To tissue, breath, subtle resistance
Not just following a routine
🌿 Slowness
Giving the nervous system time to feel safe
before asking it to release
🌿 Intention
Touch that feels clear, grounded and purposeful
not rushed or mechanical
This is the difference between:
👉 a client who “enjoyed it”
and
👉 a client who needs to come back
And here’s what most therapists don’t realise:
If clients are not coming back…
it’s rarely about your technique.
It’s things like:
• how safe they felt in your hands
• how seen and understood they felt
• how your session was structured
• how your work is positioned
That’s exactly why I created a simple guide:
10 reasons clients don’t come back (and don’t tell their friends about you)
It’s not what you think.
If you want it,
