Freeburg Care Center is hiring for 2 full-time cooks. The shift would be either 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM or 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM. Every other weekend and some holidays are required. The pay is $16.00/hour, with annual pay raises based on satisfactory job performance. We offer health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, short-term disability, life insurance, 401K, sick and vacation pay for full-time employees. A waiting period does apply for all benefits. Please apply online or stop by our facility to apply in person. Today was one of our favorite days of the year..our resident Christmas party! It was alao one of our favorite groups' last performance, The Nit Pickers. They have always been a fan favorite and today was a wrap for them. Our annual resident Christmas party did not disappoint! So much fun, laughter, and love in one room❤️ Everyone especially loved our special guest stars Santa and the Grinch! Our dietary department knocked it out of the park with many delicious appetizers, desserts and drinks. A huge thank you to all the families that support us and came for their loves ones!

We had a very busy week starting with our resident Sandy Merz reading Twas The Night Before Christmas to the 4th grade class on Wednesday. That night we went and took some residents to The Shrine to see the lights. Then Friday, we had Sandy go back to the grade school and read the story to the 3rd grade class. Then we had the 4th and 5th grade chorus come sing their Christmas program songs to us. We finished off the week with Katambwa Storyteller telling us Christmas jokes and stories.

November 2025 Employee of the Month

Dana Miller is the Admission/Marketing Director at Freeburg Care Center. She has been employed here since July 5th, 2022. Her hometown is Belleville, Illinois. She has three children, Noah, Wyatt, and Lila. She has one poodle, Chloe, and two fish. Her favorite thing to do outside of work is eat pizza. One thing we do not know about Dana is she has ridden a pig before. Her favorite restaurant is Papa Vito’s. Her favorite color is purple. Her favorite TV show is General Hospital. Her favorite music is pop. Her favorite vacation destination is Hawaii. Her dream vacation would be going to Australia. Her favorite things about working at Freeburg Care Center are helping families place their loved ones here and then seeing them thrive.

Freeburg Care Center would like to thank everyone who participated in Operation Secret Santa for our residents. We are so thankful that ALL of our ornaments have been chosen off the tree. If you would still like to donate to our residents for the holidays, they would love markers, crafts, bingo prizes, costume jewelry, and blankets.
