OUR MISSION STATEMENT
Our practice of medicine is based on trust and faith. We not only want to provide the best care to all our infants, children, teenagers, and young adults, but also be practical. We like to involve patients and their parents, as parents are our critical partners in the care of our patients and are an integral part of all important decisions. We are committed to dedication and excellence in providing health care for children and teenagers (birth to 21 years of age). Your child should be checked regularly to see if he/she is growing well and to receive immunizations against contagious diseases. Veena Puri, Anamika Sharma, and Rita Wadhwani are board certified in Pediatrics, and members of American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Veena Puri is proud to take care of thousands of families in the Southeast Bay area (Fremont, Newark, Union City, and Hayward) since 1981. We want you to feel comfortable knowingthat your child will receive the highest standard of care. We believe a family’s relationship with their pediatrician should be based on mutual trust and open communication. We expect you to bring us any questions and concerns you have about your child’s health. We will listen to you carefully and then do everything to answer your questions and explain anything you do not understand. We will make every effort to accommodate your wishes and special requests whenever possible. We take pride in our friendly office with caring staff, and for being a multicultural group having a diverse background. All of our doctors grew up in India and attended medical school there before coming here. They have all been raising their children in the U.S.A. and this is their home now. So, we understand the challenges of raising children with dual cultures. They also understand the importance to maintain the value system and heritage from their country of origin. Issues like speaking two languages, ethnic foods, travels back and forth from different countries like India, and extended families. In this ever-changing and always advancing field of of medicine, we stay abreast of our field by attending seminars, attending medical conferences and reading medical journals.
