Thursday, Feb. 5

5 to 7 p.m. — February Artists' Reception at Gallery 92 West, 92 W. Sixth St., in downtown Fremont. The Gallery 92 West Permanent Collection is now featured in the Dugan Gallery and the Barbara Tellatin Gallery. All pieces in this exhibit will be featured in an online auction facilitated by longtime friends of the gallery, the Villwok family. The reception is free and open to the public. There will be refreshments and live music.
5:30 to 7 p.m. — Kitchen open at Fremont Eagles Club, 649 N. Main St., in downtown Fremont. Co****le and pitch will be played at 6:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome.
7:30 p.m. — Opening of "She Kills Monsters" at Kimmel Theatre on the Midland University campus. Written by Qui Nguyen, "She Kills Monsters" is a play about loss, self-discovery, and connection. An average girl, Agnes Evans, discovers the game of Dungeons & Dragons after tragically losing both her parents and sister. Through the game, she tries to get a better understanding of her sister, Tilly, and the way she viewed the world, all while fighting monsters and facing dangerous challenges along the way. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for both students and Fremont-Midland Entertainment Series members. 1 p.m. — Game Day at Keene Memorial Library. There will be card games, board games and more. Guests also are welcome to bring their own favorite game. All ages are welcome.

7 p.m. — Cedar Bluffs Education Foundation Texas Hold'em Poker Tournament at American Legion Post 158, 101 S. Second St., in Cedar Bluffs. The donation per person is $40. Doors of the Legion will open at 6 p.m. Registration will be from 6-6:45 p.m. with the tournament getting underway at 7 p.m. A free sloppy joe meal will be provided. Dani's Den will provide a cash bar. The final table cash and prizes will include $300 for first place, $125 for second place and $75 for third place. Doors of the auditorium will open at 6 p.m. and the show will start at 7 p.m. The Flagship Pro Wrestling Champion Ringo Dominic will put his championship on the line against Van Johnson with Manager Moose. General admission tickets are $15 while front row tickets are $25. Tickets for kids ages 4 and up are $5. Food and drinks will be available.

Everyone is invited to learn about the school's mission and learning model, view Acellus software, and discover steps toward enrollment. Because of the Bob and Ruth Gnuse Scholarship, each student accepted into LuHi will receive $2,000 tuition per year with a four-year guarantee.

A spaghetti dinner will be served from 5 to 7 p.m. The all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner also includes salad and bread. The cost is $13.99 per person or $23.99 per couple (plus tax). Bob LeGrand will play live music from 7 to 10 p.m. The cover charge is $5 (no charge with a meal).
6:30 p.m. — Love Opera House Showcase at Fremont Opera House, 541 N. Broad St., in Fremont. The social will be from 6:30 to 7 p.m. Dinner will be served at 7 p.m. The menu will include beef, mashed potatoes, two vegetables, salad, dinner roll and dessert.
