Join us on Friday nights from 6:15-7:30 pm for Candlelit Yin Yoga.

It's a perfect way to end the hectic work week! Come relax and enjoy a relaxing and slow yoga practice in the glow of a candlelit room.

Yin yoga emphasizes long-held, deep, and passive stretching, to enhance flexibility and replenish the fluids in the connective tissue (including ligaments, bones, tendons, and joints) in our hips, pelvis, and spine. In doing so, it improves the flexibility and strength of the entire body and releases stagnant energy in the body.

SPECIAL TREAT: On the last Friday of each month, this yoga practice will be elevated by immersing yourself in the healing vibrations of a sound bath, featuring the resonant tones of crystal and metal singing bowls. The combination of Yin yoga and sound therapy creates a powerful opportunity for renewal, balance, and deep relaxation.

Suitable for all levels and great for improving circulation, energy, and overall health.

Angela was born in Brazil and has called California home since 2003. Her passion for mindful movement and holistic living has flourished in this beautiful state, where she enjoys its natural beauty, vibrant community, and commitment to wellness.

Angela discovered yoga at Mind Body Zone and completed her Yoga Teacher Training in 2010. Since then, she has pursued advanced studies with Judith Hanson Lasater in Restorative Yoga, and completed extensive Prenatal Yoga training with Jane Austin, as well as training in meditation and mindfulness practices.

Angela brings a nurturing, grounded presence to her classes, offering support for all stages of life. She feels honored to be part of the Mind Body Zone community and looks forward to sharing the transformative practice of yoga with you.

Linea has been teaching yoga, Pilates, and reformer classes since 2000. As the owner of her studio, she brings a dynamic, personable energy to her classes, making them fun, inclusive, and adaptable for all fitness levels. She also offers private sessions tailored to individual needs.

Her passion for fitness began after a skiing accident introduced her to the rehabilitative power of yoga and Pilates. Today, she emphasizes functional fitness that prevents injury while keeping workouts enjoyable and modifying them so everyone can join her classes.

Beyond the studio, Linea gives back to the community through her volunteer work and runs Northern California Animal Rescue Friends, a nonprofit organization that helps unwanted animals find safe, loving homes.

Yoga Basics is an introduction to yoga.

Explore the fundamentals of traditional poses and get an introduction to flowing practice, body awareness, yoga breathing, and relaxation techniques.

The class is taught at a slower pace and props and modifications are used extensively so you can work at your own level in a safe and supportive environment.

This class is ideal for newcomers to yoga and beginners. All levels are welcome.

After participating in our Yoga Teacher Training and In-Depth Yoga Studies Program, beginning on September 27, 2025, here are the skills you will have in 9 months

With successful completion, you'll possess the skills to become an efficient and effective teacher. You'll have confidence in the ability to:

• know the different styles of Hatha Yoga, both on an intellectual level and through personal experience of practicing various styles
• have a strong understanding of asana/yoga postures: their functions, benefits, contraindications, modifications, and purpose
• be familiar with different meditation and pranayama (breathing) techniques
• sequence a class for several styles/types of Yoga classes
• cue a class with thorough and clear verbal instruction
• modify a class for pregnancy, prior injuries, and limitations
• know how to read bodies
• be proficient in applying hands-on and verbal adjustments of varying degrees of intensity and intention
• have a foundation in yoga philosophy and how to integrate it on and off the mat.
