Hello friends! I can't believe it's been almost a year since my last blog post. I've taken some time to get clear on the intention of my blog. I’ve been focusing on how to bring my life’s mantra, “Less ego, more heart” to my writing process. My hope is that what I offer may in some way inspire, comfort, awaken new perspectives and connect with you on a deeper level. In today's post, I share about my personal journey with anxiety and how it connects to my experiences of loss. My hope is that more and more people will feel less alone in their struggles. In gratitude- Angela

Hello friends! Today we are going to explore how the aftermath of deep loss can give rise to increased anxiety. For purposes of this post, when I use the word anxiety I’m referring to a persistent, excessive and ongoing sense of worry and fear. Anxiety can take many forms. Today, I am mostly refer...

Hello friends, in today's blog post I share about remembering your loved one who has died, drawing upon my own personal experience of loss. I hope you find it helpful. Please like and share if you do :) Thank you!

Losing your loved one is a tragedy. It is heartbreaking enough that they are no longer physically in your life. As the years pass, finding ways to keep your loved one's memory alive can bring comfort and a sense that they are still very much a part of your life.

Let's face it, we all get jealous sometimes. Jealousy is an opportunity to turn towards something in ourselves that needs deeper healing. In my latest blog post, I talk about how you can practice with jealousy to get to a place of self-love. I hope you find it useful!

In today's post, lets get real and get into the juicy stuff, starting with the super fun emotion of jealousy. In all seriousness, if you were to compile a list of the most difficult emotions to experience, I bet jealousy would make the Top Three. Jealousy: That special emotion that can feel like a c...

Would you like to learn how to be kinder to yourself in the face of difficult emotional experiences? There's a fancy term called, "Self-Compassion" that I discuss in my latest blog post. Learn more about what it is and how you can develop your own self-compassion practice!

Today, we are going to talk about something that can help you handle intense, uncomfortable feelings: the practice of self-compassion. It's not uncommon for people to have no idea what I am talking about when I mention self-compassion. Or, they guess that self-compassion is some new age, touchy-feel...

Do you find it hard to say sorry? You're not alone! Saying sorry takes great courage and requires what I like to call "humble vulnerability". Take a look at my latest blog post to learn more about why saying sorry may be difficult and learn some tips for executing a good apology.

Why Is Saying Sorry So Damn Hard? Posted on January 5, 2018 by angelatopcu “You can’t get to courage without vulnerability” – Brene Brown So you made a mistake and someone, perhaps someone you really love, got hurt in the process. Guess what? Take heart! You are human. We all make mistakes a...

Happy New Year's Eve! I commonly find myself saying to people at this time of year, " May the new year bring you happiness and health...etc.", something along those lines. But, we all know that there's a lot that happens in our lives that is out of our control and the future is unknown. So, let's instead focus on where we do have choices and set our intentions for the new year! Some ideas to get you started: Where do you want to grow as a person? What is your heart and your deepest self longing for? What will help you to feel more at peace and less anxious? What is something that you have always wanted to do but were too afraid to try? Is there something you have been wanting to heal in yourself or with another person? I invite you today to set your intention and remember to keep coming back to it. You may be surprised with how much life wants to cooperate with you :)
