The UCLA Center for East-West Medicine will be hosting a symposium to bring together integrative medicine experts, health professionals, medical students and community leadership to discuss our collaboration with Chinatown Service Center 華埠服務中心, one of the largest Asian American service organizations in Southern California, a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) and now also a community health partner of UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine.
In this symposium, we will discuss the results and strategies of developing integrative health programs and culturally appropriate care in the community health setting this past year and a half and hope to provide integrative medicine implementation strategies for other FQHCs.
Dr. Ka-Kit Hui will present as a keynote speaker, along with Drs. Tony Kuo, Lonnie Zeltzer, Fasih Hameed and Elizabeth Goldblatt. Some key people who will be featured include integrative medicine experts and CSC Health leadership. US Congresswoman, Judy Chu, State Assemblyman Mike Fong, and UCLA Associate Vice Chancellor and Interim Dean Steven Dubinett, MD will be delivering opening remarks.
