We’re excited to share an update regarding our nursing leadership at Nye Legacy!

Sarah Wiese has transitioned from her previous role as Director of Nursing into the Rehab Clinical Coordinator position. We are incredibly grateful for Sarah’s leadership, support, and continued dedication to our team and residents. Thank you, Sarah, for all you do!

After careful consideration and a thoughtful interview process, we are pleased to announce a Co-Director of Nursing structure at Nye Legacy, welcoming two highly qualified leaders into these roles.

Loreann Gallatin will serve as the Traditional Director of Nursing, and Rachel Engdahl will serve as the Rehab Director of Nursing. Loreann most recently served as our Director of Clinical Education, and Rachel previously served as the Director of Nursing at Nye Square Assisted Living.

Loreann and Rachel each bring a wealth of nursing leadership experience, and we are confident they will work collaboratively to support our residents, families, and team members through strong communication and a shared commitment to quality care.

Sweet treats and sweet moments at Nye Legacy! Residents made delicious no-bake chocolate peanut butter bars. This fun kitchen activity brought plenty of smiles as residents mixed, layered, and helped create a tasty dessert to enjoy together. Activities like this are a great way to share conversation, creativity, and of course, something sweet at the end!

After a serious fall and head injury, Garnet came to Nye Legacy with one goal: return to her apartment at Nye Square. Through Nye Therapy, she rebuilt her strength, balance, and thinking skills. With a home safety check and the right supports in place, Garnet was able to move back home — independent, walking with a rolling walker, and managing well with a little extra support. Now Garnet is officially graduating from therapy — a meaningful milestone that reflects her determination and the dedication of her care team! 👏
