Daylight Saving Time begins Sunday, March 8, 2026.

Don’t forget to move your clocks forward one hour before bed Saturday night — and give your pets a little grace while they adjust.

Just like us, dogs and cats can feel the shift in routine. Meal times, medication schedules, and breaks may feel “off” for a few days. Gradually adjusting feeding and walk times by 10–15 minutes can help make the transition smoother.

At Central Veterinary Hospital, we’re here to help keep your pet’s routine — and health — on track all year long.

What’s in your pet’s wellness kit?

Preventive care goes beyond the vet visit—it’s all about the little things we do every day to keep our pets happy and healthy. Think:
✅ Dog/Cat friendly tooth brushes
✅ Heartworm preventatives
✅ Monthly flea/tick meds
✅ A cozy spot to rest
✅ A favorite toy for mental stimulation!

What’s one must-have item your pet can’t live without? Share it with us in the comments. These are some of our favorite recommendations!

About Central Veterinary Hospital

Providing Comfort for Your Best Friend in Fremont

The doctors and staff at Central Veterinary Hospital regularly receive training in the latest anesthetics, medications and techniques to control pain in companion animals. We take a proactive approach, providing appropriate pain medication before, during and after every surgery. You also will receive written home-care instructions and any continuing pain medication to help your pet rest comfortably at home for faster healing.

Since 1959, Central Veterinary Hospital has strived to bring excellent medicine and surgery as well as a gentle, compassionate touch to the pets entrusted to us. We focus on preventive, orthopedic and internal medicine for dogs, cats, pocket pets, birds and reptiles. Our hospital provides 24-hour nursing care for all hospitalized and boarding pets, so your best friend is never alone. For more than 30 years, the American Animal Hospital Association has accredited Central Veterinary Hospital. We are one of only 3,000 hospitals nationwide that voluntarily participate in the accreditation program, with trained consultants visiting regularly to ensure compliance with AAHA’s standards for medical services and hospital facilities. Our staff also attends regular training in exceptional client service so we can give you an inviting and comforting experience.
