Not all Isolate proteins are created equal!
At Rexius Nutrition, we're passionate about helping you find the best options for your fitness goals. Let's break down a few common categories of protein powders to help you make an informed choice:
💪Whey Isolates: Derived from milk and ultra-filtered for purity. They offer about 90% absorbability, comparable to egg whites—ideal for quick recovery.
💪Whey Concentrates: Also from milk, but less refined than isolates, with around 80% absorbability. If you have lactose sensitivities, opt for an isolate or an egg- or meat-based protein instead.
💪Meal Replacements: These often include higher fats and/or carbs to promote satiety, or a blend of fast- and slow-digesting proteins (like whey and casein) for sustained release.
💪Mass Gainers: High-calorie formulas designed for those aiming to build size and bulk up.
💪Animal-Based Proteins: Sourced from eggs or beef, providing a complete amino acid profile.
🫛Plant-Based Proteins: Typically made from soy or pea. While they offer benefits, in my experience, whey, egg, or animal-based proteins tend to support muscle recovery more effectively for athletes.
Focusing on whey isolates, let's compare VHI ISO to another leading brand (which we also carry). Note: This comparison applies to pure proteins without added carbs or fats.
💯 VHI ISO:
120 calories per serving
27g protein
30g total scoop weight (only 3g of fillers: 2g carbs, 0.5g fat, plus sweeteners and xanthan gum for smooth mixing)
👉 Other Leading Brand:
110 calories per serving
23g protein
30g total scoop weight (7g of fillers—still a solid choice, but not as pure as VHI ISO)
VHI ISO stands out for its superior purity and minimal fillers, making it a cleaner option for those prioritising quality. Come visit us and try it for yourself!
