Delores Sketo came to Springs Valley Meadows after a fall at home that resulted in a hip fracture. Understandably, she felt nervous and overwhelmed when she learned she needed to come to a facility—especially with a husband waiting for her at home.

From the moment she arrived, Delores was met with warmth and reassurance. Our entire team made sure she felt safe, supported, and confident that everything would be okay. She shared how kind and compassionate everyone was throughout her stay—from our nursing staff to our incredible CNAs. And when it came to therapy, she says they are simply the best!

Although she initially feared falling again, Delores found comfort and confidence in her care team, trusting them fully with her recovery. She even shared that she would recommend Springs Valley Meadows “10/10” to anyone in need of rehabilitation or long-term care—praising the team for always being kind, compassionate, and dedicated to helping others heal.

Delores worked so hard to reach her goal of returning home to her husband, and we couldn’t be happier for her! 💙

Virginia is from Paoli, IN. She has a heart full of love for her family and the simple joys in her life. Her favorite color is blue, and she enjoys spending her time reading and being with those she loves the most. She has a great sweet tooth - especially for chocolate! She is incredibly talented in sewing and crocheting. Virginia is a proud mother of 5 children. She cherishes her role as a grandmother and great grandmother. Family means everything to Virginia, and she holds many special memories close to her heart. One of her most meaningful memories if of her mother holding her, a moment she treasures deeply, especially since her mother passed away when she was just 6 years old. Her words of wisdom are to always look for the best in people and in life, never let go of God. He is there you just have to reach up and take hold of him. Happy birthday, Virginia!

Please join us in wishing Robert a very happy birthday! Robert is from French Lick, IN. He proudly served in the Air Force for four years and went on to spend two years in culinary school. He worked as a truck driver for nine years and later as a chef at the French Lick Resort. He loves a good steak and shrimp. He takes great pride in his daughters and grandchildren. In his free time, Robert enjoys watching TV, birdwatching, and cheering on football. He also has a special love for dogs. His best advice is to take care of yourself. Happy birthday, Robert!

Please join us in wishing Jimmy a very happy birthday! Jimmy is from West Baden, Indiana, previously lived in Florida. He is very proud of his children and spent his career at Kimball International building and repairing pianos. Jimmy has a love for animals and enjoys spending time outdoors, especially golfing, fishing and birdwatching. In his free time, he enjoys shopping, drawing, playing chess and casino style games, and iSpy. He enjoys watching TV and horror movies, as well as listening to classic rock. Jimmy's best advice is to take care of yourself, stay in school and work hard. Happy birthday, Jimmy!

What a wonderful day at Springs Valley Meadows! Our residents had such a great time going mushroom hunting together. After their adventure, they came back and fried up their fresh finds to share with everyone. The fun continued with an exciting game of trivia that had everyone laughing and sharing stories!
