💙 In Loving Memory of Gary Russell Fogg (1935–2025) 💙
It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Gary Russell Fogg, who left this world peacefully at his home in Bountiful, Utah, on October 4, 2025, surrounded by his beloved wife and children.
Gary lived a remarkable 90 years, leaving a legacy of faith, integrity, and selfless service. From selling newspapers as a boy in Idaho, to earning his Eagle Scout award at 14, to becoming a respected ophthalmologist serving thousands of patients—Gary exemplified dedication, hard work, and kindness.
He married Cheryl Patricia Armstrong in 1958, and together they raised seven children, now blessed with 25 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter. Gary’s family was his pride and joy, and his guidance, humor, and love shaped generations.
A man of many passions, Gary loved:
✨ Fishing at Island Park, Idaho
✨ Building and crafting with his hands
✨ Popcorn nights and family adventures
✨ Serving others through his medical skills and humanitarian missions in 25 countries
Gary also served faithfully in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, including callings as a bishop, stake president, temple sealer, and missionary. His devotion to service and attention to even the smallest details—down to paying the last seven cents of his tithing—reflect a life lived with integrity and purpose.
We will continue honoring him every day at FoggRe*****on Eyecare, where his legacy of compassion and excellence lives on.
Gary’s life was a testament to living fully, helping others, and cherishing family. His spirit will live on in every life he touched.
We celebrate a life well-lived, and a man deeply loved. Rest in peace. 💙
