PACE by IIH participants work with a Registered Dietitian to create personalized meal plans that support good heart health and overall well-being based on individual needs and preferences.
Here are some of our dietary professionals' favorite heart-healthy foods:
🍊 Citrus fruits (oranges, grapefruit, tangerines) - high in vitamin C and fiber to support heart health.
🥬 Leafy greens (spinach, kale, Swiss chard) - packed with nutrients that help manage blood pressure.
🥕 Carrots & sweet potatoes - rich in beta-carotene and fiber for overall wellness.
🍎 Apples & pears - a great source of soluble fiber that can help lower cholesterol.
🥦 Broccoli & Brussels sprouts - full of antioxidants and heart-protective nutrients.
🍓 Strawberries (early spring) - contain antioxidants that support healthy blood vessels.
