Early Professional Scholarship Program

The California Athletic Trainers’ Association (CATA) is proud to announce a new initiative aimed at supporting Early Career Professional members by helping offset registration fees for the upcoming CATA 2026 Symposium. Early professionals are those Certified Athletic Trainers that are in their first 6 years of practice.

Thanks to generous donations from colleagues representing several professional sports teams across California, CATA will provide financial assistance covering up to 50% of CATA Symposium registration costs for qualified Early Professional Certified Athletic Trainers. Funds for this program are limited. Eligible applicants are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.

Requirements:
- 25 applicants will be awarded
- Early Career Professional: Passed BOC exam between 2019 - 2025.
- Must be an NATA Member to qualify.
- Early Bird registration fee will be $200 for the 2026 Clinical Symposium, thus this is a 50% discount ($100). Registration will open in mid-November. Reimbursements will happen on site at the symposium.
