Adult Foster Care Provider Requirements
Family Options is currently seeking loving homes in Fresno and surrounding
communities. This important role requires patience, commitment, and dedication. But the rewards are invaluable!
Do you have what it takes to become an adult foster care provider?
● You must be 21 years or older
● Have a spare bedroom
● Pass a federal and state background check for yourself and all adult members residing in your home
● You must have a high school diploma or GED
● Provide four references
● Be available for appointments related to the client
● Pass a medical exam

Together we inspire family, independence & support.

Family Options, LLC is an Adult Family Home Agency (AFHA). Family Options approves family homes for up to two adult individuals with developmental disabilities (per home) to reside with a family. The family arrangement allows the sharing of food, shelter, experience, responsibilities and love. The individual with developmental disabilities receives the necessary service and support from the family, agencies, and the community to enable them to be a participating member of the family and the community. Family Options is responsible for recruiting, training, approving, and monitoring family homes, as well as providing ongoing support. Social service staff employed by the FHA make regular visits to ensure that necessary services and support are in place, and that the match between the family and the new family member is viable, and continues to be viable.
