The Arc of Fresno and Madera Counties offers individuals with an intellectual or developmental disability the opportunity to succeed in a supportive environment. The services available from The Arc offer clients the necessary training to acquire the skills needed to fully become an integral part of their community. Founded in 1953 by a group of concerned parents wanting a fulfilling life for their children, The Arc began in a makeshift classroom at a local park facility. The Arc of Fresno and Madera Counties has grown from this small beginning to an organization that covers two counties of the Central Valley. The Arc serves over 650 individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities with a professional staff of 185 in eight program settings. The Arc of Fresno and Madera Counties is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization.

We recently honored the lives of our dear friends, Doug and Virginia. A memorial was held at Enrichment Center, followed by a balloon release to celebrate their memory. Kind words were shared by friends and staff who cared for them, reflecting the impact they had on all of us.
We’ll miss you, Doug and Virginia; your presence will always be felt. 💙🎈

The second annual Bridging Horizons Conference was a huge success! This incredible event brought together professionals, advocates, and people with intellectual disabilities to connect, learn, and share vital resources across the Central Valley.

We wrapped up one of the evenings with a masquerade dance. A night full of joy, music, and movement! 🎭🕺💃 A perfect way to unwind, celebrate community, and have a little fun after a powerful day of learning.

Our crew had an unforgettable time enjoying yummy fair food, visiting the petting zoo, and riding all the rides 🎠🎢 with huge smiles and even bigger laughs. Thanks to the Fresno Fair for creating such a welcoming and inclusive space for our community!

A group from LAC took a scenic drive up to Grant Grove in Sequoia National Forest to learn about the area and to experience its beauty firsthand. From the towering sequoias to the peaceful forest trails, it was an unforgettable day filled with discovery and incredible lasting memories. 🌿💚We love creating opportunities for our individuals to explore, learn, and enjoy the natural wonders around us!

KTC has been having a great time these past couple of weeks! 🌟 We enjoyed a lovely visit to The Rosé, we also made a stop at GameStop 🎮 and grabbed a bite at Chicken Shack 🍗, and we cooled off with a fun backyard water day! So many smiles, good times, and great memories!
