Russell Takeuchi Sr. devoted decades of his life to advancing opportunities for individuals with disabilities and was deeply committed to the mission and impact of UCP+ Central California. An avid golfer, Russell found great joy in the game, making the decision to honor his legacy through this tournament both meaningful and appropriate. This event celebrates his enduring contributions while continuing the work he so passionately supported.

🛑 A True-to-Life Wake-Up Call

When 63-year-old David collapsed at home from a sudden stroke, his family rushed him to the ER. He was unconscious—unable to speak, move, or make decisions. The doctors needed quick answers.
But David didn’t have an Advance Healthcare Directive.
And no one had Power of Attorney.

His wife of 35 years assumed she could speak on his behalf. But the hospital said, “We’re sorry, we need legal documentation.”
