Lock It Up Project Target Population:
Youth, Young Adults, Parents, School Districts, Pharmacies, and Medical & Behavioral Health Professionals.

The Lock It Up Project, a program within the California Health Collaborative, is a community-based prescription and over-the-counter drug abuse prevention program targeted towards youth ages 10-25 in Fresno County. Services:
Informational and educational presentations, in-service trainings for school and professional personnel, community-based outreach, Pharmacy Initiative, train-the trainer program, town hall meetings, and the development of media campaigns to raise awareness about the issue. Funding Support:
Fresno County Department of Behavioral Health,

It's that time again! Are you interested in getting involved, making a difference in your community, and developing your professional skill set? Apply for the Peer Education Program! This program is designed for college students to become advocates that focus on spreading awareness about the dangers of prescription drug abuse. ⠀

Our Story

WHO WE ARE

The California Health Collaborative (CHC) is a nonprofit organization committed to enhancing the quality of life and health of the people of California, particularly the underserved and underrepresented. Within CHC are various programs, one of which is the Lock It Up Project.

The Lock It Up Project is a community-based substance abuse prevention program designed to increase awareness of the risks and consequences associated with the illegal use of prescription and over the counter medication by youth and young adults ages 10-25 in Fresno County. Funded by Fresno County Department of Behavioral Health, Substance Use Disorder Services.
