Hello everyone, just wanted to inform you of an upcoming event RCSA will be participating in. We will be participating in a NAMI Walk at Woodward Park in Fresno, CA on Saturday May 5, 2018. Participating in this event will allow us to raise awareness about mental illness and to raise funds to support an organization (NAMI) that provides wonderful services to individuals with psychiatric disabilities. As students who have chosen to pursue a career in counseling individuals with disabilities, this cause is near and dear to our hearts. If you would like to help us support this cause, you can visit the link below. Any donations you can give are great. If you can't, please spread the word, along with the link, around to others. As Master's students, we get told a lot that we need to be professional. Thanks to the many classes that are offered, we can acquire the skills necessary to fill that role. However, what about looking the part? Well, there is something for students on campus that fills that role too. It is the Student Closet in the Thomas Building. It is a great place to acquire professional attire. I myself, James W., have used it twice so far and wish I had used it more. You can go there each semester to pick out an outfit that is perfect for interviews and professional work. They are even passing out flyers for upcoming events. Below is a picture with 2 events coming up. If you are interested in getting some more clothes for your first interview or need to expand your options for work attire, check them out.

If you haven't been checking your emails, as a quick reminder we want to remind everyone that the Winder Social hosted by Chi Sigma Iota(CSI) and ourselves will be Friday, December 1st from 7-10pm in the Education Building Room 140. There will be food, music, a celebration for Dr. Koobatian on his retirement, and a lip sync competition. Come by to enjoy the event.
