Our members are dedicated to promoting the total oral health of our community, through education and oral health advocacy, leading you to a lifetime of good oral health. We are pleased to make referrals to member dentists in your area. We invite you to be a beacon of hope and health in our community by volunteering your dental expertise. Your skills can transform lives, providing essential care and education to those in need.

Why Volunteer?

1. Impact Lives: Many individuals and families lack access to basic dental care. By volunteering, you can relieve pain, restore smiles, and enhance overall health for those who might otherwise go without.

2. Enhance Your Skills: Volunteering offers a unique opportunity to broaden your experience, learn new techniques, and work with diverse populations. It's a chance to grow both personally and professionally.

3. Community Connection: Strengthen your ties with the community. Your presence can inspire others to take charge of their dental health, promoting awareness and preventative care.

4. Fulfillment: There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing a patient regain their confidence and well-being thanks to your care. Experience the joy of giving back and making a tangible difference.

5. Team Collaboration: Work alongside fellow dental professionals, hygienists, and volunteers who share your passion for service. Together, we can create a supportive network dedicated to improving community health.

Is It Safe To Visit The Dentist?
CBS This Morning (6/18) reports that dental offices are reopening, and all 50 states “are now allowing routine dental care” such as teeth cleanings and cavity fillings “after months of handling only emergencies.” The segment, hosted by CBS’s medical editor Dr. Tara Narula, includes quotes from Dr. Kirk Norbo, co-chair of the ADA’s Advisory Task Force on Dental Practice Recovery, and Dr. Peter Shatz, chair of the Georgia Dental Association COVID-19 Innovation Task Force and also a member of the ADA Committee on Annual Meetings, on changes before and during dental procedures in response to the pandemic. Dr. Shatz states, “The biggest risk in dentistry is uncontrolled infections. Those could lead to systemic disease and can aggravate underlying heart problems.” When asked about the safety of dental visits, Dr. Norbo replied, “I think it’s absolutely safe…we’re here for you…we feel like we have a safe environment for our patients to return to.”
