Up until recently, the primary way for people with type 2 diabetes to check their blood glucose levels was by pricking their fingers. Now people can use continuous monitors to more easily and regularly check their blood glucose. This increases the practice, which helps people better catch when their numbers are too low or too high. When they are more aware of their blood glucose levels, it helps them better understand what causes the spikes and dips in those levels. This leads to more impactful and informed changes in their lifestyles. Check out the link below to learn more about continuous monitors.

Getting enough sleep is crucial for our bodies. Rest helps us heal and reset our systems somewhat. A lack of sleep can lead to many problems both seen and unseen. It can also make some diabetes symptoms worse or harder to manage. Check these out below.

Did you know? Not getting enough sleep can make managing your diabetes trickier? Here’s why: 🚨 🌙
- Insulin resistance: Little sleep can make your body less responsive to insulin, leading to higher blood sugar levels.

- Cravings and weight: Lack of sleep can increase cravings for unhealthy foods and make it harder to feel full.

- Overall health: Poor sleep can weaken your immune system.
