One of the most difficult and frustrating aspects of type 2 diabetes is getting your blood sugar under control. To keep your blood sugar from spiking and crashing, the first and most important step is becoming aware of your diet.
Avoiding low-quality carbohydrates from junk food and processed foods can make a big difference in getting your blood sugar under control.

Improving your diet is a crucial first step for better blood sugar control. The next step is just as important: be more physically active. You don’t have to train for a marathon to do this. Just adding a few more minutes a day of being active, until you’ve worked up to thirty minutes most days, can really help bring your blood sugar down to manageable levels.

The frustration comes when you’ve been watching your diet and getting more exercise for months, but you’re still not getting the blood sugar results you want. At this point, you might want to consider adding some natural supplements.

Sleep and the immune system have a well-known bidirectional relationship. During periods of deep sleep, your body repairs and restores itself, including repairing and restoring your immune system. When you’re sick, fatigue beyond just feeling tired is one of the most common symptoms. The immune system tells you to slow down and rest by conserving your energy; you can direct your resources to your immune system. People who are sleeping more because they’re sick spend more time in deep sleep to give their immune system more energy to mount its defense. Fatigue from illness affects your behavior as well. You feel tired and listless, uninterested in doing much; you lose your appetite and have difficulty concentrating.

Vitamin A is known as an anti-inflammatory micronutrient. It is crucial for forming strong epithelial and mucosal barriers that inhibit pathogens by blocking their ability to enter the body. Vitamin A regulates the number and function of natural killer (NK) cells, macrophages, and neutrophils; particularly, macrophages need vitamin A for phagocytosis.

Toxic chemical exposure can lead you down the path of damaging the single-cell barriers. This is important information we need to be aware of because we are surrounded by toxic chemicals. It is completely unavoidable. The best thing to do is to remove them from our homes as best we can and detox.
