Today, Bertha, medical assistant, and Liz, registered nurse, from our Friendship Clinic had the pleasure of participating in the Westfield Area Middle/High School Career Fair. They talked with students about their healthcare careers, including what their typical workday looks like, the education and training required and more.

We love opportunities like this to connect with students and help inspire future healthcare professionals! Thank you to School District of Westfield for having us!

Thank you is an understatement! We wondered if we could top last year’s record setting $116,000 raised through our Annual Foundation Dinner & Auction fundraiser…and you helped us shatter it!

This year’s March 7 event raised an incredible $125,700 for Emplify Health by Gundersen Friendship and Westfield.

Your generosity, energy, and support made this possible — and we are deeply grateful. As a non-profit, rural hospital, we rely on donors to help keep quality medical care close to home. Event proceeds will support the purchase of a new digital x-ray machine and two defibrillators. The total cost of this equipment is $233,424 which is why your support means so much. Our sincere appreciation to all donors, attendees and volunteers who made this night outstanding.

We were also honored to present the Annual Lifetime Community Dedication Award to Bob and Aletta Grabarski at the event. Approximately $11,000 of our event proceeds were contributed in their honor by family, friends, colleagues and community members. This award recognizes individuals who have been gracious givers and constant supporters of our foundation, hospital and community. Past recipients include: Harvey Wagner, Bob Beaver, Mary Ann Bays, Dr. Martin and Carole Janssen and Roger Chambers.

More than 270 individuals attended the event at Lake Arrowhead this year. Mark your calendar for 2027. The event is always held the first Saturday in March!

We recently celebrated Random Acts of Kindness Week by continuing our annual tradition of surprising a service organization with a treat. This year we delivered scones to the staff at Hope House of South Central Wisconsin. We also delivered cookies to our staff and asked them to "pay it forward" with their own acts of kindness. In a world where you can be anything, be kind!
