But, you can switch back to Original Medicare!

The Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment period is January 1 to March 31.

To change back to more complete coverage, you can call 1-800-MEDICARE to unenroll from Medicare ‘Advantage’ and then confirm your enrollment in ‘Original’ Medicare.

These cards are sent by FOR-PROFIT insurance companies selling a medicare 'advantage' plan that can cost you more out-of-pocket if you are sick, or deny services altogether when you most need them. This is the time of year, right before Medicare Open Enrollment, where our patients are inundated with offers in the mail, newspaper or television that claim to give you 'free groceries' and other things that sound too good to be true. ALWAYS READ THE FINE PRINT! Traditional Medicare, along with a Medicare Supplemental Insurance are always recommended to our patients so they can get the medical services they need with the providers they choose!
