Hi! My name is Esha Sarakinti, and this Spring, I will graduate from Rice University with a B.A. in Health Sciences and a Spanish Certificate.

I’m excited to learn from Dr. Jain, Reema, and the Dream Sleep Medicine Team about patient centered care in the clinic setting, the field of sleep medicine, and medical advancements through clinical research. I'm originally from Frisco, so I am excited to come back and work with the community I grew up with! I’m grateful for this opportunity to deepen my understanding of healthcare as I get ready to apply to medical school!

In my free time, I enjoy running, photography, and exploring new coffee shops! I can’t wait to see how I will grow throughout my time with the Dream Sleep Medicine gap year program:)

I could not be more excited to begin my medical school journey at TCOM this July! From helping solidify the philosophy of medicine I aspire to practice to gaining practical experience in the logistics of operating a private practice, my year with the Dream Team was one of a kind in the best possible way. I have no doubt that the learning and hands-on clinical experience I gained during my gap year, along with Dr. Jain and Reema’s mentorship, played a major role in getting me to this moment of acceptance. Can’t want to join some of my fellow DSM “alum” at UNT!
