Knee pain and injuries are incredibly common, especially after falls, sports injuries, or everyday wear and tear. What many patients are surprised to learn is that most knee conditions do not require surgery. In fact, a large portion of knee injuries can be successfully treated with conservative options such as medication, physical therapy, activity modification, arthroscopy, or PRP injections. Surgery is typically reserved for cases where pain, instability, or joint damage continues to limit daily life despite these treatments.
When knee surgery is necessary, it is because it offers the best chance to restore function, relieve pain, and improve long-term joint health. My role is to carefully evaluate each patient, explain all available options, and recommend the treatment that makes the most sense for their specific situation. Whether that path involves non-surgical care or a knee replacement, the goal is always the same: helping you move better and live with less pain.
