You might have notice that the AAP immunization schedule is different from the update federal schedule. As of January 2026, federal officials changed their list of recommended childhood vaccines.
"The action breaks from a process designed to carefully review and recommend childhood vaccines—one that considers risks from specific diseases in the U.S., health impacts and how our health care system works." (American Academy of Pediatrics, 2026).
Our office and providers here at Kid Approved Pediatrics, will continue to follow the AAP guidelines when it comes to recommending vaccines for your child.
