As we wrap up National Athletic Trainer Month, we are proud to recognize the next generation of athletic trainers who are learning, growing, and making an impact every day at Vail-Summit Orthopaedics & Neurosurgery.

Meet Cassidy Burdette, ATC, one of our Athletic Training Residents. Cassidy completed her undergraduate degree at The University of Tampa and is currently part of the Athletic Training Residency Program at Vail-Summit Orthopaedics & Neurosurgery.

"I am currently rotating with all of the teams to gain hands on experience across a wide range of specialties. I’ve truly enjoyed developing my skills in both the clinic and the operating room, while helping patients through their injuries and recovery. Continuing our National Athletic Trainer Month spotlight, we are proud to recognize the athletic trainers who play a vital role in patient care, education, and mentorship at Vail-Summit Orthopaedics & Neurosurgery!

Meet Ryan Molzon, MS, ATC, Athletic Training Residency Program Director, Clinical Staff Supervisor, and athletic trainer working with Dr. William Sterett. Ryan completed his undergraduate degree at Rowan University, his graduate program at the University of Hawai’i at Manoa, and his fellowship at The Steadman Clinic.

"Working in the orthopaedic setting, I have found great fulfillment in helping patients and athletes return to the sports and activities they love. Knowing I have played a role in positively impacting someone’s quality of life is incredibly meaningful. We are continuing to spotlight our ATCs in honor of National Athletic Trainer Month!

Meet Reh Vanatta, MPA, ATC, SA, practice manager and athletic trainer working with Dr. Matthew Gnirke. Reh completed an undergraduate degree at Colorado Mesa University, a graduate program at Portland State University, and a fellowship at Vail-Summit Orthopaedics & Neurosurgery.

"Working in physical medicine and rehabilitation allows me to build meaningful, long term relationships with patients, which is a true privilege. Whether it is helping an endurance athlete reach the finish line or enabling grandparents to stay active with their grandchildren, it is incredibly rewarding to provide pain relief that keeps people doing what they love. Meet Gwyneth Phillips, MS, ATC, SA, OTC, ACSM EP-C, who works alongside Dr. Erik Dorf in both the clinic and operating room. Gwyneth completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Iowa and her graduate program at South Dakota State University. She also completed her Athletic Training Residency at Vail-Summit Orthopaedics & Neurosurgery.

Meet Camille King, MA, ATC, OTC, SA, who completed her undergraduate degree at Florida Gulf Coast University and her graduate program at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. Camille also completed her Athletic Training Residency at Vail-Summit Orthopaedics & Neurosurgery.

Meet Jordan Church, MS, ATC, OTC, SA, a member of Dr. Richard Cunningham's team. Jordan completed her undergraduate degree at Albion College and her graduate program at Auburn University. She also helps create educational videos with Roxy for Dr. Cunningham’s Instagram.

March is National Athletic Trainer Month, and we’re proud to kick it off by recognizing the incredible team of Athletic Trainers who are essential to the seamless care we provide at Vail-Summit Orthopaedics & Neurosurgery.

From clinic to the OR and everything in between, our ATCs are essential to patient care.
