Such an amazing discovery!

Dr Jacques Donnez was the first person to (accidentally) witness human ovulation with the naked eye in 2008.

The starting point of every human life was observed during a hysterectomy at UCL in Brussels.

Because ovulation happens so infrequently (13 times per year in the average woman), happens rather quickly (maximum 15 minutes from beginning to end), and because we never know for sure when ovulation will exactly take place, it has been very difficult to clearly photograph or film this event.

Wow! International day of the Woman! So many things could be said and have been said by others!

But today I'm just going to pray, and I ask any followers to do so as well, that women all around the world learn their own dignity and priviledge (the positive connotation) of being a woman and that all peoples and governments honor and promulgate women's dignity and not suppress the gifts women have to offer.

Fun Fertility Facts ✨How much are you bleeding during your period? Yes, we are talking about the things that no one ever talks about, but every woman wants to know!! And NEEDS to know! How are you supposed to know if no one tells you?! 🤷‍♀️

Types of Bleeding:
⏩Spotting: using only a panty liner
⏩Light Bleeding: using approximately 1-2 fully soaked pads or tampons per day
⏩Medium Bleeding: using approximately 3-4 fully soaked pads or tampons per day
⏩Heavy Bleeding: using approximately 5 or more fully soaked pads or tampons per day

Crazy fact! ✨A woman typically loses 40-80ml of blood over the course of her period. (A light period would involve losing less than 40ml and a heavy period would involve losing more than 80ml.) Wondering "how do I measure how many ml?!"

👉 Light pads/tampons hold ~ 3ml
👉 Regular pads/tampons hold ~ 5ml
👉 Super pads/tampons hold ~ 10ml
👉 Menstrual cups hold ~ 20-35ml

Wow!!! SO amazing!

I don't even have words for this image...I have never seen anything like it in my 13 year long sonography career! This baby is 7 weeks old, I used silhouette imaging on my new machine and it is just incredible!!! I am in complete awe 🌈
