Early on in the opioid epidemic, injured athletes were likely to become addicted to opioids because they were overprescribed. Now doctors are usually more careful with how they prescribe them...but drug dealers peddling fake pills have no such concerns. In fact, drug dealers know that an injured athlete is the perfect target. But those illegal, fake pills are dangerous, full of things like fentanyl and xylazine. Stay safe. Don't use any medication that doesn't come from your doctor and/or a licensed pharmacy.
