Spring has SPRUNG and there is color everywhere! If you are interesting in working with plants in a NEW way may I suggest using them to make wild ink! It’s so fun to play with nature and see what kinds of colors you can get from the plants around you. April’s color pallet is pretty impressive with redbud, wild violet, pansy, and grape hyacinth which are all starting to bloom right now.

You can check out my FREE workshop on how to make wild ink on YouTube, link in bio.

If you’ve made wild ink before, what was your favorite plant to work with?

My love affair with tulips keeps growing year after year. I love them in all their stages, even after they’ve dried, I see beauty. I’ve been playing with tulips again- forcing the bulbs to bring in some early spring vibes and playing with them before they drop their petals. I’m saving the dried petals for a future project as well.

It was fun looking through old work in my portfolio a few weeks ago and just has me itching for warm weather even more.

Tell me- how are you playing with tulips this spring?

Seeds are now available down at ! All grown organically in my gardens. I love being able to share the garden abundance with you! Right now, I have marigolds- which get HUGE and bushy, nothing like what you get at the garden centers of some of the big box stores. I also have calendula (a garden staple as I use them in all of my skin care products), Pompon dahlias, and forget-me-nots. I use all of these in my weekly flower arrangements too!

All images are from my stock portfolio with and are available for purchase for your own needs.
