❤️ February is American Heart Month

As healthcare professionals, we play a key role in promoting cardiovascular health and disease prevention. Encouraging patients to adopt heart-healthy behaviours — balanced nutrition, regular physical activity, and avoiding to***co — can significantly reduce long-term cardiovascular risk.

💡 Early guidance and patient education are critical to supporting sustained heart health.

Pregnancy isn’t just a chapter—it’s a preview of future heart health.

In this episode of The Heart of Prevention, host Dr. Keerthana Pakanati is joined by Dr. Kardie Tobb and Dr. Monika Sanghavi to explore why pregnancy functions as a cardiovascular stress test and how outcomes like preeclampsia, gestational diabetes, and preterm delivery reveal long-term CV risk. From postpartum follow-up and risk stratification to closing gaps in maternal heart care, this conversation reframes when prevention should begin—and why pregnancy history belongs in every cardiovascular assessment.
