Our community is on the front lines of a mental health crisis and too many families are carrying trauma, fear, and uncertainty without support.
When Isabella joined Mamas de Garnet, she learned something she’d never allowed herself to believe: she mattered too. This healing helped her become more present, and it changed her whole family.
Mental health care shouldn’t be a luxury. That’s why we’re working to expand mental health support to entire families across our programs. A year-end gift helps make healing without stigma possible.

Marisol came to after a judge had ordered her removed and she only had a few days to fight for the right to stay in the place she now calls home. Our team instantly moved to rebuild her case and through our work, it became clear that she had a strong claim for protection. Yet, without legal defense she nearly lost everything.

When our city council prepared to vote on a resolution supporting immigrant families, a group of teens from the Maple neighborhood stepped up to the microphone. They spoke about their families. They spoke with courage. And by the time the last teen finished, the room was stunned into silence. Moments like this don’t happen by accident. These young leaders grew up in our teen center, a space made possible by donors like you. It’s where they learned to find their voice, practice leadership, and believe they could make change in their own community.

🎉Giving Tuesday is tomorrow!!🎉
Today we’re highlighting one of the most urgent parts of our work: Camino Immigration Services and our expanding Removal Defense efforts.
Marisol* came to Camino when an immigration judge had ordered her removed, and she had only days to fight for the right to stay in the place she calls home.
Our team moved immediately, gathering around her to secure what she needed most: time.
Time to appeal, to breathe, to hope again.
Marisol had a strong asylum claim, but the attorney she’d paid thousands had done the bare minimum, leaving her on the brink of losing everything.
So we started over. We rebuilt her case piece by piece, gathering evidence, drafting declarations, and preparing the strongest appeal we could.
We’re still waiting for the final decision but now Marisol has a team ready to stand beside her, to fight for her safety, her dignity, and her chance to stay.
This is why our removal defense expansion matters.

💙 Today’s Giving Tuesday countdown highlight: our Garnet Elementary After-School Program! 💙
Each afternoon, students receive homework help, mentorship from our amazing college interns, a healthy snack, and enjoy enrichment activities, favorites include slime-making, four square, and seasonal painting.
Twice a week, a volunteer leads a book club to build literacy and a love for reading, and once a week our students head to the park to play and explore outside.
This program is more than just homework help, it provides consistency, community, and care! Please consider donating this Giving Tuesday to support this program!
