Life can be difficult, especially for children and families who have experienced trauma, loss, or ongoing stress. Sometimes the strongest thing a person can do is ask for help.

When emotional wounds go unaddressed, they can shape how children see the world and how families connect with one another. Access to mental health care creates space for understanding, healing, and growth.

At its heart, mental health support is about connection.
It is a therapist who listens without judgment.
It is a parent learning new ways to communicate.
It is a child finally feeling safe enough to express what they feel.

Through this intentional care, families learn to manage challenges with patience and compassion. Children gain confidence while parents gain needed tools. Over time, the home becomes a place of peace and rebuilding rather than fear and frustration.

Crittenton's Mental Health Services provide behavioral health support for children, adolescents, and families covered by Medi-Cal. From early intervention to intensive community-based care, our team helps clients build coping skills, strengthen relationships, and rediscover hope.

If you or someone you know could benefit from compassionate, community-based mental health care, we are here to help!

This holiday season, we’re assembling Family Baskets for families in our care who need a little extra support.

Each basket, typically valued around $75–$100, is filled with essentials like laundry soap, shampoo, toothpaste, disinfectant wipes, toilet paper, and paper towels.

We’re asking our community to shop for these items and place them in a laundry basket so we can safely deliver them to families in need.

Your generosity provides dignity and relief during a season that can be especially challenging for many.

We had an amazing time supporting Soroptimist International of Fullerton at their fun-filled fundraiser! 🎉

Between the music bingo, games, and contests, the room was full of laughter and purpose.

All proceeds go toward helping women and girls gain access to education, job training, and economic empowerment.

For many young adults aging out of foster care, independence can feel overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to.

Crittenton’s Transitional Housing Program (THP) provides more than a furnished apartment. It offers guidance, stability, and opportunity.

As they work toward their education or begin their careers, young adults gain the tools to save, plan, and build lasting independence. Many leave the program with real savings, confidence, and a clear path forward, ready to land on their feet and thrive.

✨ Every success story begins with a safe place to start.

Our leadership team had the privilege of attending the Association of Community Human Service Agencies (ACHSA) Annual Celebration Luncheon last week.

This event honors nonprofits and the incredible work they do to help individuals heal from abuse and move forward. It was inspiring to celebrate the courage and strength of those who have overcome challenges through the support of ACHSA member agencies.

We were honored to have Monica Banken from LA County Supervisor Barger’s Office at our table and are deeply thankful for the Supervisor’s continued support of the work we do for children, young adults, and families.

Together, we are making a difference in our community.

Youth Care Workers are the heart of what we do.

They create structure, model compassion, and help our kids rediscover what safety and trust feel like.

Every small moment, whether it’s sharing a meal, celebrating a success, or offering a calm word, builds resilience and hope.

It’s work that changes lives, including your own. 💚
