💙 Every child deserves to feel seen, supported, and understood — especially when it comes to their mental health.

For many children with autism, emotions can run deep and challenges can be hard to express. Anxiety, stress, or overwhelm often show up in ways that are easy to misinterpret.

Research indicates that nearly 4 in 5 children with autism have at least one additional mental health condition, and almost half have two or more. Early recognition and evidence-based, compassionate care can significantly improve their quality of life and emotional well-being.

On this World Mental Health Day, we’re reminded that meaningful support means looking beyond behavior to see the child within — with empathy, understanding, and care. 💙

Together, we can support autistic children and their families with approaches that are informed, compassionate, and tailored to their needs. 💫

As our new Marketing & Outreach Coordinator in our new Growth and Development Department, Susanna helps Alongside-ABA connect with families and organizations through social media, outreach, and community partnerships. She’s passionate about advocacy and sharing our family-centered, ethical approach to ABA therapy.

Outside of work, Susanna enjoys the outdoors, discovering new restaurants, and watching nostalgic movies. We’re so glad to have her on our team! 💙
