📞 662-862-3155 C. Hawkins family. Mr.

McNeece-Morris Funeral Home began in 1961 when Boyce McNeece and his father-in-law Charles Morris purchased the funeral home from the R. The Hawkins family owned and operated Hawkins Funeral Home from 1929 until 1961 when McNeece and Morris took over. The firm moved to its present location just south of the court square in 1965. Morris passed away in 1971, and his son Phil worked in the business until the late 1980s. McNeece's son Steven joined the firm in 1989 and has served as Itawamba County Coroner since 2004. In 1991, McNeece-Morris built its Mantachie chapel to serve the needs of Mantachie, northern Lee and southern Prentiss counties. Throughout the years, Boyce, Steven and all the McNeece-Morris family have earned a solid reputation of compassion, dependability, and trust when it matters most.

A fun fact for your Monday 🚑 Before 911, before EMS, and before emergency standards existed… communities still needed help fast. Funeral homes often stepped in — not because it was expected, but because they were trusted, prepared, and always available. It’s a part of history many people don’t realize — and one we’re proud to preserve here at McNeece-Morris Funeral Home.
