We are pleased to announce our December 2025 employee of the month! Tyler Atwell is a Sorts C.N.A team player. Whenever he is asked to do anything, there is no hesitation or negativity. He is always willing to take on the new task. He is very compassionate and respects his peers. He always shows up to work and is a positive example for his co-workers to follow. He consistently demonstrates excellence in performance, possess a positive attitude, very cooperative, shows initiative, and willingness to learn. His dedication to the care and treatment of our clients is incredible. Tyler is very deserving of this honor and recognition.

We are pleased to announce our November 2025 employee of the month! Nicole Weigel is the Social Learning program and Brant Vocational Enterprise Liaison and the lead in the Nixon Catering Kitchen. She is the employee that ensures Kitchen to Canteen items are complete and in the Canteen for Staff and Clients to purchase. She is the hard work behind getting Snack Chats prepared and popcorn popped for all client functions. She works very well with our client kitchen assistants to give them the skills to be successful in the kitchen and the confidence in themselves to do so. She makes our SLP Peeps feel cared for when they are in the workshop and ensures she makes a connection with each of the client workers when in the workshop. Nicole is very much a team player on the BVE team and is a prominent piece of the puzzle that keeps the work skills program moving forward. Nicole is very deserving of the recognition.

Fulton State Hospital is pleased to announce our C.N.A. graduate class! These individuals were hand-picked to attend this class that is held on campus grounds. Each of the students took part in an intense 6-week program that included an 800+ page textbook, lectures, tests, patient care skills practice, and clinicals. After graduating from the class, the students are eligible to take a 75-question test and perform a skills test through Health and Senior Services. Upon successful completion of those tests the student becomes a Certified Nursing Assistant.

Patient Account Management Week 2025 is from October 12–18, 2025. Fulton State Hospital currently has two staff in the Patient Accounts section, and they act as a depository of revenues for Fulton State Hospital and provide banking services to our consumers. They maintain the consumer banking system and track all consumers’ funds – both deposits and expenditures. They deposit funds into the Canteen system so consumers can purchase items at our canteens. We appreciate you!
