It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our dedicated team member, Johnny Lipscomb, who passed away on February 4, 2026. We will always remember his commitment as a friend, attendant, his skill as a barber, and his care as a gardener. His hard work and presence will be greatly missed.

Please keep the Lipscomb family and Trice Funeral Home Staff in your thoughts and prayers. The family has requested privacy at their home during this difficult time. We kindly ask that you express your condolences the day of the public viewing or funeral service. We appreciate your understanding and respect for their wishes.

Public Viewing: 1:00 - 5:00 pm on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at Trice Funeral Home Chapel, 127 N. West Street in Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526.

Visitation: 11:00 am - 12:00 pm on Friday, February 13, 2026, at St. Augusta Missionary Baptist Church in Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526.

Funeral: 12:00 pm on Friday, February 13, 2026, at St. Augusta Missionary Baptist Church, 605 Bridge Street in Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526.

Please help spread the word about our 50th Celebration during Homecoming weekend. Please reach out to your former players and invite them to the celebration. They are planning to recognize all of our former FVHS athletes, coaches, trainers, and athletics staff in the endzone between the 3rd and 4th quarter of our Homecoming game. They will be invited to gather in the back corner area of the field, behind the endzone. It's the same spot where our Hall of Fame members enjoy the game.
