Today, we are proud to showcase one of our dynamic speakers who will be sharing her recovery story at Alabama Recovery Advocacy Day: Carla Bugg, Criminal Justice Services Coordinator for ROSS!
About Carla Bugg::
Carla Bugg is a woman in long term recovery. She has over 33 years in recovery, but only by the grace of God.
She is also formerly justice-involved, as was incarcerated for 20 years on state and federal drug related charges. She is also an advocate for individuals with a substance use disorder as well as justice-involved.
She is currently Criminal Justice Services Coordinator for R.O.S.S. She serves on the executive board of directors at Not One More Alabama and Aletheia House. She is a U.S. veteran, as she served 6 years in the Air National Guard. Carla is now a member of the Veterans Justice Commission and the Council on Criminal Justice. Carla is a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ as she is the founder of F.L.O. Outreach Ministry.
She has 5 beautiful children and 4 adorable grandchildren and she loves to sing. Carla believes that once you find your purpose, you find your life.
