Central Ohio Urology Group today announced that it is the first in Ohio to offer Aquablation® therapy with the new HYDROS™ Robotic System in an Ambulatory Surgery Center. HYDROS™ Robotic System is the next-generation platform to treat men suffering from benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), commonly known as an enlarged prostate. Aquablation therapy, now delivered by an AI-powered robotic system, is clinically proven to provide significant, durable BPH symptom relief while preserving sexual function and continence across prostates of all shapes and sizes.

“BPH is a widespread condition that severely compromises quality of life for countless men over age 50. With Aquablation therapy, men can reclaim their lifestyles and find relief from symptoms while preserving sexual function and continence — outcomes that have proven elusive with many traditional treatment modalities,” said Dr. Colin Ryan.

Tired of frequent bathroom trips, weak stream, or sleepless nights from BPH? Prostate Artery Embolization (PAE) offers a modern, minimally invasive solution — without major surgery.

PAE shrinks the enlarged prostate by reducing its blood supply, helping relieve urinary symptoms while preserving quality of life. No incisions. No general anesthesia. Faster recovery. Most men return to normal activities in just days.

If you’re looking for effective symptom relief with lower risk of side effects compared to traditional surgery, PAE could be the breakthrough you’ve been waiting for.

Take control of your comfort, confidence, and sleep again. Ask your doctor if Prostate Artery Embolization is right for you.

Gentlemen, let’s talk about BPH.

Are you experiencing:
• Frequent trips to the bathroom (especially at night)?
• A weak or slow urine stream?
• Trouble starting or stopping?
• The feeling that your bladder isn’t completely empty?

These are common signs of Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) — and there’s actually a simple symptom score that helps measure how much it’s affecting your daily life.

👉 Do you know your BPH score?

Understanding your score is the first step toward finding relief. You don’t have to “just live with it.” Talk to your urologist and take control of your urinary health today.

You can measure the severity of your BPH symptoms by taking the International Prostate Symptom Score (IPSS) questionnaire.

How prostate artery embolization works

It is an alternative to more invasive surgical procedures.
PAE is an interventional radiology procedure that injects small particles directly into the arteries (blood vessels) that supply blood to the prostate, which leads to devascularization (decrease in blood supply) of the obstructing portion of the prostate.

When the prostate reduces in size (because the blood supply is slowed), there is lessening of obstruction along the urinary pathway and less pressure on the bladder.

A Minimally Invasive Solution for Enlarged Prostate in Central Ohio

By age 60, nearly half of men experience an enlarged prostate. By age 85, that number rises to nearly 90%. This common condition—known medically as benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH)—can significantly impact quality of life, causing urinary symptoms such as frequent urination, urgency, and disrupted sleep.

Hello Team!

It is always hard to make the call to close the clinics and surgery center. Yesterday was easy due to the Level 3 Snow Emergency!

Closing causes a lot of extra work and stress to both you, our associates and team, and for the patient. You all worked together great yesterday and it was the smoothest process to date from our learning of having to close.

I want to thank all the staff that helped coordinate the calls to let the patients know we were closed and the great effort to get our patients rescheduled for their care. You all are amazing !

Thanks to the leadership for doing an awesome job coordinating the effort and providing a smooth process for the associates, patients, and providers, You all are truly a great TEAM !

Thank you to all providers, Physicians and APPs, that covered the hospitals and braved the tough driving conditions and cold. Your dedication is truly appreciated!
