Compression Garment 101 — Part 1

After procedures like a tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) or lower body lift, proper compression is essential for managing swelling, supporting healing, and optimizing results.

In this video, Mariah is demonstrating how to apply a faja (compression garment) along with the foam and ABD pad placement. For demonstration purposes, she is wearing shorts. You would not wear shorts underneath your compression garment after surgery.

Garment placement matters:
• Foam positioned below the incision
• Proper fit based on torso length
• No wrinkles or kinks
• Adjusted appropriately without covering the breasts

Every patient receives detailed, hands-on instruction from our team before going home. We review this with you in person to ensure proper fit, comfort, and safety during recovery.
