It’s hard to believe, but we’re closing in on two months since Mississippi Emergency Department Services (MEDS) went live! What a journey it’s been so far.

We’ve been so fortunate to partner with some truly amazing physicians, nurses, and staff across Singing River Health System in Gulfport, Ocean Springs, and Pascagoula. Together, we’ve been working hard to improve the care we provide to these local communities, and the teamwork and dedication have been nothing short of inspiring.

At MEDS, we’ve brought the same supportive and innovative culture that has driven success in Georgia to Mississippi, and it’s been incredible to see how well it’s been received. Every day, we’re reminded of why we do what we do: to ensure that every patient receives the best possible care, right when they need it most.

Thank you to our teams at Singing River Health System and to the communities we serve—you’ve made this transition so rewarding, and we’re excited for all that lies ahead!

Our dedicated team at MEDS is committed to delivering the same high-quality care that you know and trust. Partnering with the Singing River Health System, we will be staffing emergency departments in Ocean Springs, Pascagoula, and Gulfport, bringing our values and a physician-first approach to even more communities.

Dr. Mohak Davé, medical chief of emergency services at Northeast Georgia Medical Center (NGMC) was recently recognized with the Governor Nathan Deal Award at the seventh annual Northeast Georgia Trauma Symposium. We are excited to see Dr. Davé work with NGHS leaders, RTAC members and others to make the changes necessary for NGMC Gainesville to become certified as a Level I Trauma Center, bringing the highest level of trauma care closer to home.
