Hi Everyone and Happy Thankful Tuesday!
So, at first glance, this picture looks so beautiful and alluring - a sunset for a view, lights strung above and meticulously pulled together tablescapes BUT look closer! ZOOM IN to the tables!
It's not meticulously pulled together, it's actually messy tables that have just been eaten on and not cleared or cleaned yet. The chaos after the beauty.
Well, I had quite the opposite happen to me at a wedding recently. I was heavy hearted about attending because there were going to be people there who I do not care to spend my time with. YEP! My ex husband, an ex friend, and another ex business associate - all are exes for a reason. :/
I know, I know, there are some people out there that can be friendly or even best friends with exes, but IT AINT ME, soooo I had pretty much made up my mind that this event was going to be unpleasant at times but I LOVE the bride so much AND my daughter was in the bridal party so I was definitely going and knew I would have some good sprinkled in but that it might be a bit chaotic or awkward or both plus more.
Surprise, surprise when I was seated with the "FUN" table ( #16)! Cue the goodness, laughter, connection and warm fuzzies! This was the BEST table I could have possibly been seated at. Immediately, one of my table mates and I connected on a deep level because - birds of a feather - she is studying for her graduate degree in - drum roll please - Psychology! YES!!!! We exchanged numbers and both of us spoke about how it was quite literally meant to be for us to meet! WHAT a WIN!
I am soooooo thankful that I attended this event despite believing it would be hard at times to do so and then having it be such a wonderful experience with an instant deep connection with another Psychology GEEK!
Sometimes, things turn out WAY better than we can anticipate, grateful for this unexpected turn of events to the positive!!!!
What are YOU thankful for today?
