Midwives Cooperative We are a group of midwives offering homebirth and waterbirth services in the North Central Florida area.

Midwives Cooperative is a Gainesville based midwifery practice that specializes in home birth, water birth, and prenatal & postnatal only care for planned hospital deliveries. Our practice has been serving North Central Florida for 20 year and offers high quality and evidence based care to low risk pregnant people in our area. We believe in the midwifery model of care, which centers the pregnant person and their family. This model of care sees pregnancy, birth and postpartum as a natural process. Our prenatal and postnatal visits are longer and more personalized than the typical obstetric appointment and includes not only the basic medical pieces, but incorporates the social, mental and physical well being of the pregnant person.
