Let's be real, quarantine is getting to all of us! Back away from the sardine oil and utilize NGCAT teletherapy options! 😂

Also just a reminder that a little humor can reduce stress and anxiety. Hope you all are staying safe out there!

We are so proud of Madison and what she is doing in the field of counseling! She was represented in the “Student Spotlight” for her graduate program at UNG.

If you or someone you know has been touched by adoption in any way and would be interested in participating in a counseling group, please contact us.

STUDENT SPOTLIGHT: Madison is a third-year student in our Clinical Mental Health Counseling track. She is passionate about adoption competency among counselors, and is working diligently to make some positive changes in the community. Here's a little bit about Madison:

"I’m an intern at a private practice in Gainesville, GA (check out North GA Counseling & Training on fb). During internship, I’ve discovered I love working with teenagers primarily through a family systems lens. Between clients, I work on completing my thesis which is focused on adoption competency, self efficacy, and social justice advocacy attitudes among counselors in training (aka us). So if you see me carrying around two book bags full of articles, that’s why! Additionally, I’m helping start up an adoption support group in the area. Right now, we have inquiries from prospective adoptive parents who are currently waiting. Hopefully, we will be able to expand to groups for all adoption affected individuals and couples. Stay tuned!"
